    Welcome to Sakae Soy Sauce Brewery—a family-run soy sauce maker founded in 1795, nestled near the base of Mt. Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture.

    For over eight generations, we’ve been crafting soy sauce using traditional wooden barrels and time-honored techniques.

    Our soy sauce is slowly fermented and aged with the help of the natural microorganisms living in our old brewery, resulting in a rich, deep flavor with a gentle finish.

    Instead of mass production, we take the time to make our soy sauce with care, bringing honest, natural flavor to your meals.

    Our soy sauce is made from just four simple ingredients: soybeans, wheat, salt, and pure groundwater.

    We brew it slowly in cedar barrels that have been used for generations, allowing nature and time to do their work.

    No additives, no shortcuts—just authentic, naturally brewed soy sauce that develops unique flavors and aromas with the seasons.
